Who We Are & What We Do

The African American Coalition of Kane County (AACKC) is a community-based organization committed to strengthening the civic, educational, and economic fabric of Kane County. We focus on providing leadership opportunities, mentorship, and personal growth programs for individuals and families across all backgrounds. Our mission is to equip communities with the tools and knowledge to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society. We strive to empower our youth and communities to become self-sufficient and active contributors to the economic and social fabrics of their communities through education, leadership, and financial-economic empowerment and much more!

Mission

The African American Coalition of Kane County is dedicated to strengthening communities through education, leadership, and economic advancement. We aim to promote unity, personal responsibility, and cultural awareness while encouraging respect for family, faith, justice, and integrity. Through our programs and partnerships, we empower individuals and families to build lasting legacies and positive futures—locally and beyond.

The vision of the African American Coalition of Kane County is to foster community growth through education, leadership, and civic engagement. We aim to strengthen economic participation and social connectivity by encouraging individuals to share their talents, build partnerships, and contribute to a more inclusive and informed society.

The African American Coalition of Kane County " AACKC" board of directors consists of members from the communities in which the AACKC serves. Members of the community are Teachers, Religious Leaders, Business Owners,  and politicians.  The BOD helps guide the AACKC as they build a better community forging a more stable community for the youth of the future.
